Meet the Owners

Dale and Loriann Calles and their daughter, Taylor Henderson, are what you would call the salt of the earth. They’re kind and generous, and true pillars of their community. Dale’s love of people and ability to connect with others makes him the first one to offer you the shirt off his back if you need it and the last one to leave a family party. Taylor would adopt every animal at the local shelter if she could and spends her free time reading any book she can get her hands on. So when Loriann approached her family with the idea to venture into home care and devote their lives to helping others, Dale and Taylor were eager to jump in.

“My mom had dementia, and we made the decision to put her in a skilled nursing facility,” recounts Dale. “When Loriann brought up the idea of becoming a franchise owner with ComForCare, I was all in. I remember what it was like being on the other side. I could have really used a resource like ComForCare back when my mom needed care. Being able to support my community in this way really feels special.”

A CALLING BUILT ON CARING
As an entrepreneur and business owner for 25 years, Loriann looks forward to connecting her business prowess with her love of people.

“I’m excited to apply my skills in a job that’s so rewarding. Home care really appeals to me after seeing Dale and his siblings grapple with their mother’s and father's care. It means the world to me to offer families support, comfort and resources in that kind of situation. Our community really needs this, and I’m happy to be there.”

CARING FOR OTHERS IS A FAMILY AFFAIR
Taylor is a vibrant addition to the team. Her bubbly personality lights up the room and her warmth and kindness are palpable. As a Sacramento State graduate with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, Taylor is eager to merge her passion for health with her calling to help others.

“I look forward to serving as a safe haven for the people reaching out for care,” Taylor says. “It will be exciting to help on that level. Because when you call us, you’re likely already reeling with so much to think about. I want to be a light and source of comfort in that moment and all the moments that follow.”

A PATH WORTH TRAVELING
Loriann knows what it means to need support from others. At age 16, she ran away from home to escape a tumultuous living situation and built herself back up as the strong mother, business leader and community advocate she is today. Through that experience, she learned that helping others was truly the path in life she was meant to take.

“Helping people is in my bones. After I ran away at age 16, I got my life on a good path and then I brought my brothers out to live with me, so I could take care of them. I guess you could say I grew up trying to save the world and that part of me lives on still today.”
