Neuromuscular

Clients come to us when other protocols have not delivered the results they expect. In our practice,  we look at the neuromuscular systems - the soft tissues. When other modalities have been of limited success, we usually find the soft tissues are holding traumas from life as "stuck" patterns and behaviors. These are often observable in posture and balance. We help clients release the underlying "stuck" patterns to achieve a wider range of physical motion, emotional response and mental performance.

A good client is a person who has chosen to put their body and their brain in charge of their life.

Direct

This is how I imagine / want things to happen,

My favorite example here is Penicillin.

I am sick. Finally go to the doctor and get diagnosed with an infection. Get a shot of Penicillin. Go home and straight to bed.

I don't need to do anything. The Penicillin does all the work and in a few days to a week I'm well.

Summary: Penicillin works miracles.

Penicillin works directly on the symptom initiating change directly.

Indirect

This is the way I find a lot of life happens.

My favorite example is taking my wife to a restaurant.

I notice a smudge in her mascara and suggest she might want to check it.

In the lady's room is a large mirror. She adjusts her blouse and ear rings, puts on new lipstick and maybe a little powder, adjusts her hair, decides all is much better. And comes back to the table

In all my life, I've never heard a lady exclaim how a mirror works miracles, how it fixed her hair or got her lipstick just right. Why? because the mirror didn't do these things. She did. The mirror was the tool that allowed her mind to see, evaluate and do them but it didn't do them.

If the teen age girl at the next table goes into the lady's room and uses exactly the same mirror, her results will look significantly different, yet both will be very happy because the goal is for each to be the best she can be, not to come out with a consistent result for everyone that uses the mirror.

The mirror works indirectly, showing the lady her current appearance and allowing her to make the changes she sees are needed and the the sequence she chooses. She went in for the mascara but doesn't necessarily do it first or even at all. The mirror works indirectly.
