What makes Safety First unique?
The student will be trained to develop a process for a wide range of real life situations in which the handgun serves as the foundation of self-defense, but also as the option of last resort.
Class sizes are kept small with the objective of providing ample attention to each student’s needs, following the NRA protocol of no more than four people on the line at a time. The focus will be on developing the highest level of proficiency each student is capable of, while reloading and overcoming simulated pistol malfunctions in live fire.
Students will be introduced to a variety of handguns to tactilely illustrate the firearms described in the materials and for the purpose of experiencing firsthand how they feel and function. Additionally, there will be a demonstration of holsters, lasers and lights to supplement the use of a firearm.
Practice with drawing from concealment for CCW students – holster or purse – will be performed at the student’s discretion.
Classroom meetings at the Placer Sporting Club typically take place around a coffee table in a relaxed, informal setting that encourages discussion and camaraderie.
All-inclusive pricing: Basic and first time CCW instruction include the indoor range and classroom fees.
Finally, a syllabus outlining the course of fire will be emailed to you in advance of the class, so that you can come better prepared (and relaxed). Enjoying the experience is a priority.
